Donald Trump has many voters believing that Immigration should be stopped and that we need more borders! He describes his plan that consists of building a wall to stop Mexican immigration, but that they will pay for the wall. He says, “I will build a great wall — and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me —and I’ll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.” But, how will this work? After all, there are ways to get around a wall. Unfortunately, a lot of people are behind Trump’s plan, and it is very likely that Trump will win the election because of his standpoint on immigration. Interest groups and public opinion do not really disagree …show more content…
He has a lot of voters outside of his constituency because he campaigned everywhere. He has visited a lot of town and shook voter’s hands and made himself known, which makes voters more likely to vote for him than for the other party. Unfortunately, those who do not agree with Trump’s plans are silenced by all those who agree with it. Donald Trump has a lot of short term goals with bad results if not done correctly. He has a lot of ideas to help make this country better, yet it is hard to see his goals for the future. His policy will negatively impact the immigrant workers who live in this country because their children were born in this country, and it will be illegal to send them back, as it says in the Constitution. There are voters who see this as a problem and agree that his plan has a lot of flaws. This policy Donald Trump has created will hurt those who have hired these workers to work for them, in that they will be without workers for the small

This has an impact on the U.S. because many immigrants live here with there families and many relationships have been made. If this plan follows through many people could get angry and many conflicts could occur. I think to solve this problem people need to stand up to Trump and tell him the complications of the situation, and what the outcome could come to. Hopefully, someone would be able to change his mind.…

It’s coming from Mexico. It’s coming from the south and Latin America and it’s coming, probably, from the Middle East, but we don’t know because we have no protection.” As a result of the immigrants coming into America, Trump wants to create the immigration plan. If Trump’s plan is carried out, the Mexicans would be unauthorized to enter America because of the “great great wall,” possible recessions and riots would take place, and all illegal immigrants including the birthright citizens will be forced to leave America.…

Next year promises to bring us one of the most polarizing and ideologically charged presidential elections in recent memory. The first decade and a half of the 21st century has witnessed momentous changes in the American political landscape from threats of foreign and domestic terrorism to a resurgence of philosophies once thought to be extinct from the public consciousness. During this pivotal moment in our history however, many Americans are losing faith in either party’s ability to cater to their needs which has in turn created a set of circumstances under which people with more radical ideas have at last enter the national spotlight. One such person is a self-proclaimed socialist caucusing with the Democrats named Bernie Sanders who has…

The End of Bernie Sanders and His Fake Political Revolution At last, the long national nightmare of the Democratic Party’s Presidential Primary race is over. Senator Bernie Sanders, who arguably ran a spirited campaign albeit, a disingenuous, demagogic and unrealistic one, (though he has yet to formally concede defeat) has finally acknowledged that his path to the nomination is all but over. As a liberal, I know this is a provocative piece and one that is bound to be unpopular among young progressives. Also, given the full-scale efforts with which the Democratic “establishment” are courting Senator Sanders, treating him with kid gloves and twisting themselves into pretzels in the hope that he will quietly go away, I am certain this article…

Walls are meant to divide, protect, and encloses areas, they are thought to be security in homes and buildings, they were not meant to be used as barriers between friendly countries that can offer things we cannot have in hand without their help and support. However, President Trump sees our neighbors as threats, he wants to divide North America with this so-called “shield”. Does Trump not understand that walls can be broken, or climbed over, or that immigrants can simply go around the wall or dig under it? In my opinion, the wall that President Donald Trump wants to build is a waste of time, currency, and resources. If you think about it, the wall is 2,000 miles long, which will take an extraneous amount of time to build, nevertheless, with…

This statement has further brought controversies over immigration because he told his supporters that ‘Mexican will pay’ for the walls. However, pointing Mexico to pay for the border wall is not realistic. According to the article, Debunking Trump’s five extreme statements about immigrants and Mexico, by Dolia Estevez, there is already a wall on the border, which has been irrelevant and Mexico is no threat to the US economy. The research also shows that maintaining the walls after the construction will exceed the price of building the walls. Thereby, building the walls will not help in economically and in foreign relationships.…

The approach that Trump is taking is harsh, but common. Building a wall to protect something that has been done since Hadrian’s Wall; consequently, placing a wall along a border to protect a nation is a medieval idea. However, it would have social and economic downfalls. Our relationship with the Mexican government would be strained by insisting that they pay the fee to resurrect a wall keeping their own citizens out of our country. This could be dangerous for United States citizens living along the border, because immigrants would be increasingly desperate.…
