Will our next president be the man with the dirty blond hair that’s all over social media memes for making weird faces in public? Or will it be the older looking man with the glasses known as Bernie Sanders. Donald Trump, the man with the dirty blond hair is among one of the top candidates for the 2016 presidency of the United States. He has associated himself as a republican and is known for his opposition to illegal immigration, which has caused a lot of dispute and protest about the topic on race and immigration in the United States. Donald Trump was born into a wealthy family. Throughout his political career Trump has made some proposes on how he could change the situation on immigration if he were nominated president. Trump claims that he is an advocate for people who don’t want to speak up on the topic of race and immigration. Most of his changes show little interest for modern day immigrants and can be insulting for some people. Along with his ideas he has gained new followers as well as lost some. He feels prejudice against illegal …show more content…
In the article “Donald Trump’s immigrant wives,” Chris Frates analyzes Donald Trump’s stand on immigration while pointing out Trumps roots. One of the things Frates points out is that Trump him self is married to a Czechoslovakian immigrant. While, his wife says that “she thinks it’s a beautiful process when it works” ( Frates). Yes, it must be a beautiful process when you’re rich but should she too be granted a legal visa or citizenship? After all she too is an immigrant who in the eyes of Trump could take our jobs away right? Frates also, quotes Trump when he says, “They’re immigrants taking your jobs, and you better be careful.” Which seems paradoxical, for everything Donald Trump has said and for his continuous prejudice against immigrants. Yet, he’s able to say that he’s a “proud German American,” who’s Grandpa and mom are also immigrants. Sounds as if his grandpa took the Americans

Roger Daniels, in his novel, “Not Like Us: Immigrants and Minorities in America”, highlights the terrible conditions and undertakings immigrants and minorities had to face through early to modern America. He presents his argument through different people, starting with the Chinese and Chinese Exclusion Act during the industrial era and going on into detail with the treatment Native Americans, African Americans, and other minorities throughout time. He states in his thesis that he simply wishes not to “negate or minimize other aspects of that turbulent and dramatic period.”, but instead to emphasize the side of history that is usually glossed over by historians. He does successfully in context highlight the true reality minorities and immigrants faced throughout this specific time period, and while he does have a compelling argument and evidence to back it up, there are some minor critiques in an otherwise beautifully constructed novel.…

He has claimed that Hispanics are rapists, Muslims being terrorist, and women being pigs. The hatred and disrespectful attitude that Trump has isn’t fit for president. Recently at one of his rallies, he bashed at one of his own supporters simply because her baby began to cry. This shows that if Donald Trump was agitated at a simple, innocent thing, one can imagine the trouble, he would cause to America if a conflict…

The fact that Trump stated that illegal immigrants from Mexico are criminals and that they pay very little in taxes is blatantly false and therefore, an invalid argument. Illegal immigrants pay their fair share of taxes to the government. An inductive argument directly related to this is that the person hired to investigate Trump University had a Hispanic last name therefore forcing Trump to try to fire him for his Mexican heritage. Trump thinks that if all illegal Mexican are criminals and the person hired to investigate Trump University has a Hispanic last name therefore, that person must be an illegal Mexican. Trump did make some very valid arguments which are good ways to evaluate deductive arguments, in that the flow of illegal immigrants…

When it comes to Trump being a fox, he fails to recognize that the GOP health care bill is a trap, though as a lion, he can fight off illegal immigrants, but can’t fight off foreign extremists. For the GOP heath care bill, the CBO claimed that it “would reduce the federal deficit by $337 billion over a decade but would also leave 24 million more Americans uninsured during that same period.” Trump, the self-righteous human he is didn’t believe that millions would lose their insurance, but sill thought the money savings was true. He’s all on board with the bill and right when the bill gets passed in the future, he will face a dreadful outcome. With his slogan “America First” and since his presidency we all know that Donald Trump has something against immigrants. I remember one time I was at Starbucks to study for a test when I heard a conversation from the table next to me. Two elderly white gentlemen’s were talking about how our country is because of the immigrants out of control and how they take our jobs away. I mean we do have control our country so we do not have an overpopulation, but to unfairly targeting the immigrants and give them the fault is not ok neither. We need to find a way to help people who have nothing, if I would be in their position I would be happy to have support and help too.…

On January 27, 2017, the first executive order under Trump’s presidency regarding immigration was signed. This executive order implements a temporary ban from seven Muslim majority countries for three months and prevents refugees from entering the country for 120 days. Countless people were upset by this order, including Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who filed a lawsuit against the order 3 days after it was signed. According to Ashley Carman, writer for news source The Verge, “The lawsuit will attempt to prove the immigration ban is unconstitutional and that the actions it spurs are ‘separating Washington families, harming thousands of Washington residents, damaging Washington’s economy, hurting Washington-based companies, and undermining…

In “Europe and America” by David Ignatow, the author contrasts the difference between an American-born son and his father, an immigrant: “…my father who lives on a bed of anguish for his daily bread, and I who tear money at leisure by the roots…” (66). An obvious difference lies between opportunities given to Americans and opportunities given to people who come from other countries, as the son lived on a cushion of financial stability while his father lived wondering if he’d be able to make it…

Trump delivered a speech in Arizona outlining a ten-point plan for immigration reform, one includes building a wall across the entire southern U.S. border, and that got a lot of people riled up. He wants to triple the number of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, require businesses nationwide to use E-Verify to determine the work eligibility of their employees, deport noncitizens with criminal records, cut federal support to so-called sanctuary cities, and restrict legal immigration. He wants to get those out of here who have done bad or terrible things and taking jobs from those who are born here and raised legally.
