Donald Trump Immigration Policy Essay

Some people are not thinking about Donald Trump’s immigrations policies, and reforms. When he announced his candidacy for president the first topic he brought up was Mexico along with the people from there. He stated, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best… They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.” He later adds, with Mexico’s money he would build a very inexpensive great wall that would be built on the southern border of the United States causing him to lose the Hispanic, Latino, and Chicano votes. Furthermore, in his Foreign policy speech he says that a new immigration policy …show more content…
He theorized, “The wall is going to cost a fraction of that [$58 billion trade deficit], maybe 10 (billion dollars) or $12 billion.” Walls are built to either keep something in or keep something out. Walls are built to defend the country along with protecting the community within. The Great Wall of China was invented to keep invaders out from the north. Additionally, to protect the people inside the wall. Donald’s Trumps wall does neither, it strikes fear into immigrants because they are not invaders. Foreigners come to the U.S. for a better life not only for themselves but for future generations of their blood line. Some foreigners have problems back in their country but coming here makes those problems vanish into thin air. The wall makes the United States appear as if people from other countries are not appreciated here. However, the wall has no effects to Mexico because people from Central America have built tunnels in order to reach the North; therefore, his wall will stretching 2,000 miles or less will be a waste of money since Mexico is not going to pitch in a dime for the …show more content…
The Federal Government does not have this much amount of money because most of it is being sent to foreign assistance in other countries or making America better by providing jobs and fixing other concerns. Deporting people for only immigrating should not be a reason to remove them from the United States. This land that citizens and non-citizens breath on was founded by European whites, most are now Americans, IMMIGRATED here for the same reason that Mexicans, Middle Easterners and Asians come here for to escape from lack of jobs in their country because they are not gaining any income. Trump might as well deport everyone in the United States. Then give the Native Americans their land back since at one point everyone was a foreigner until they gained citizenship. In no way, will the federal government fund a mass deportation for immigrants nor should

In an interview, Donald John Trump, an American businessperson and a Republican candidate running for president, specified: “ The immigrants are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, and they’re rapists. It’s coming from Mexico. It’s coming from the south and Latin America and it’s coming, probably, from the Middle East, but we don’t know because we have no protection.” As a result of the immigrants coming into America, Trump wants to create the immigration plan. If Trump’s plan is carried out, the Mexicans would be unauthorized to enter America because of the “great great wall,” possible recessions and riots would take place, and all illegal immigrants including the birthright citizens will be forced to leave America.…

Donald Trump is known far and wide as the man who wants to build a huge wall between America and Mexico to keep out immigrants. Trump believes that building a wall is going to make all the violence and issues of the country disappear but Clinton is smarter than that. Clinton wants to work on getting rid of violence all together and she understands that ones race doesn’t determine whether they are violent or not. Violence is a huge problem in this country that needs to be fixed but getting rid of a race isn’t going to fix it. When I first heard Trump say, “We have some bad hombres here, and we are going to get them out.…

Trump believes that illegal immigration is destroying U.S. taxpayers, and he believes that neither Republicans nor Democrats are helping the situation. Republicans don’t do anything about illegal immigration because some of their business supporters want cheap labor. Democrats look at illegal immigrants as potential Democratic voters (135-136). Both Democrats and Republicans may have their reasons for illegal immigrants to stay, but Donald Trump thinks that the parties need to put America’s interests first and that illegal immigrants need to return from whence they came. Trump then continues to discuss that illegal immigrants are by definition, lawbreakers, and refers to them as “illegal aliens” due to the fact that illegal immigrants are often members or violent gangs.…

This shows the purpose of Trump’s side of the argument, which is that he wants to improve America by reducing illegal immigration rates by having a permanent border wall and increase fees on all border crossings. Following up on his belief, Trump wants to construct the new immigration policy that will, in his opinion, return the safety of laws for the American people. The immigration policy also proposes the mandatory return of all criminal aliens currently subsiding in the United States. Trump recognized the Obama Administration for releasing 76,000 aliens from custody of committing criminal convictions since 2013, but still wants to continue on that action by having all criminal aliens to be deported to their home countries by cancelling visas and adding an additional committed crime to being in a country illegally (Trump 3). This further contributes to Trump’s purpose to reduce illegal immigration in the United States and putting all American citizens as a priority in this country.…

Would you be angry if you lost millions of dollars every year because people don’t pay their taxes? Well that’s how the government feels about illegal immigrants when they cross the U.S. and Mexico border. Illegal immigrants are crossing the border and are getting jobs in the United States, without any documents. American citizens are paying more taxes and that money goes to places like churches and charities that are protecting illegal immigrants so they can stay and get some money. A wall across the U.S. and Mexico border will protect American jobs and reduce crime because, jobs are being taken, illegal immigrants are not paying taxes on their jobs, and many criminals will not be able to smuggle items across the border.…

By building a wall it would make it more difficult for illegal immigrants to enter the country. Some illegal immigrants may not even consider to try and enter the country because of the wall. According to an article by Robert Samuelson 63 percent of the Republicans agreed that a wall would be a good solution for illegal immigration. Which is an important fact because one of the argument that is being made is that building a wall will help the Republicans. It will help the Republicans because if there is a wall then they get to have big roles in the policy on…

Most of this immigrants return back to the united states so all this money is a waste of tax money. Why not? legalize the 11 million undocumented immigrants and generate a boost to the economy of 1.5 trillion dollars GDP over the course of 10 years and add close to 5 billion dollars in tax revenue in just the next three years of the immigration reform occurring. The evidence suggests that a immigration reform will boost the united states economy in every way possible.…
