Donald Trump Foreign Policy Issues

As one of Donald Trump’s worthy advisors, there are many foreign policy issues to handle and dealing with them is a crucial part in becoming a safer, cleaner and more stable overall nation. Given the fact that our country is one of the most powerful in the world and also has many resources, the problems that we face today can in fact be dealt with when approached with knowledge, proportionality, and empathy/sympathy. To make America great again and change the downward spiral we have placed ourselves in, the three main issues of Global Warming, Terrorism, and Immigration will need to be faced and handled under the office of Donald J. Trump. First of all, the most important issue in my humble opinion would be Global Warming, simply because …show more content…
For example, the millions of Americans who drive gas powered vehicles could instead use a solar power alternative to transport themselves to and from their destination. Similar to this, facilities that produce energy and supply the rest of the nation with it such as coal plants and other factories emitting greenhouse gases, could use nuclear power plants to create energy and fuel the nation without contributing to global warming. One last example commonly forgotten is the entire meat industry and how it is fueled by the burning of fossil fuels. If every person were to develop a plant based diet which would be even healthier than a meat based one, then the emissions would fall at a very large rate and at the same time each Americans would be lowering their risk of heart disease, cholesterol, and diabetes. Needless to say, adopting and executing these not so difficult practices would in fact lead to a healthier country and world, while at the same time benefiting many businesses and creating a cleaner environment to live in. In addition to this national priority, the presence of Terrorism also has its place in the top important issues our country needs …show more content…
Last but not least, the ongoing problem the U.S. has had with immigration has to be dealt with in order for our nation to remain peaceful and at no threat from potential terrorists entering the nation. As Donald has said before many times, we need to allow the good people into the country who can contribute to our success and reap the benefits from doing so in our capitalist system. On the other hand, those who are criminals and will only do harm to our beloved citizens shall not be allowed in regardless of their ethnicity or beliefs. Immigration is a very important situation for many other nations aside from ours and establishing a safe and productive system in which we have control over our borders would yield the best possible results. Furthermore, the issue of Muslims and threats of terror comes into play and can be a very sensitive topic for the members of the Islamic community and those who have also lost loved ones in radical islamic terror attacks such as 9/11, the Orlando bar shooting, and even the Charlie Hebdo attack in France. In my opinion, those who follow the religion of Islam have the right to do so in our nation under their First Amendment Right(including freedom of religion), as long as this religion does not include committing

In Julia Whitty’s “Diet for a Warm Planet,” she discusses the issue of global warming. Whitty identifies controversial causes of global warming. She discusses the lack of interest America has for the environment. She also states several solutions to reduce the carbon footprint which focuses on what Whitty calls a fossil fuel diet. Whitty’s main argument is, “Since America is responsible for 22 percent of annual emissions, I suggest we set a target of shrinking our personal carbon footprint by 22 percent, or 9,606 pounds” (721).…

I realize that central to my concepts is the necessity for caution with immigrants from known terrorist countries. I anticipated objections that many people believe the only way to economic improvement or safety in the U.S. would be to deport illegal immigrants. However, I felt that deportation was an inhumane solution and recommended trying other methods to resolve the problem. If it is within America’s power to prevent something bad from happening to 11 million people, and we can enact it without sacrificing our nation’s safety, then we should morally and compassionately do it.…

Homeland Security Last class period, we had the honor to have an Atlanta police officer come to our class and speak about the importance of homeland security. Homeland security is important especially after 9/11 when America was under attack by terrorist and left millions of Americans afraid to go to the airport. The American government knew that it had to protect its citizens so it created the patriot act, which protected against terrorism and domestic and foreign affairs. Homeland security has the important task to watch out for citizens who want to behave in criminal behavior against the government or who wants to overthrow the government. Groups such as Isis and the Muslim brotherhood are terrorist groups that started in the Middle East,…

Immigrant removals — including deportations and so-called voluntary departures — went from roughly 200,000 people in 2001 to nearly double that in 2011. Deportation is a good change since 9/11 because it acts as a filter, by getting all the bad things out of our country. “With the goal of strengthening border security, the Bush Administration created the Department of Homeland Security in 2002, a cabinet-level office that merged 22 government agencies”(Matthew). Creating a new strength with the border helps keep America safe by not letting in the people we are unsure of. It will also evaluate the people already in America.…

Anna Stewart Professor Mahoney Article 4 April 30, 2017 Four policy objectives that President Trump is trying to achieve is healthcare budget cuts, immigration policy (wall), taxes and spending, and foreign trade. These objectives represent the expansionary policy. Trump is trying to expand the money supply to encourage economic growth while trying to avoid inflationary price increases. Trump will increase government spending by colossal amounts just to build a wall and spend billions of dollars to deport the illegal immigrants, while trying to keep the jobs for U.S citizens and cut the government support to those who do not deserve it in turn lowering our taxes and healthcare.…

On January 27, 2017, the first executive order under Trump’s presidency regarding immigration was signed. This executive order implements a temporary ban from seven Muslim majority countries for three months and prevents refugees from entering the country for 120 days. Countless people were upset by this order, including Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who filed a lawsuit against the order 3 days after it was signed. According to Ashley Carman, writer for news source The Verge, “The lawsuit will attempt to prove the immigration ban is unconstitutional and that the actions it spurs are ‘separating Washington families, harming thousands of Washington residents, damaging Washington’s economy, hurting Washington-based companies, and undermining…

In a democratic system, there is no absolute leadership, no matter how powerful it is, the constitution provides always a check and balance with other authorities and institutions. In addition to check and balance, other factors like the advisory team, the lobbies, and the international institutions constraint the president’s ability to pursue his national security policy priorities. In this paper, I will argue that the congress with his constitutional power, and the president’s advisory team with their close proximity to the president are the factors that most severely constrain the president to pursue the national security policy priorities. The first factor to constraint the president ability to pursue his national security policy priorities…

Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States of America, he served two terms as a Democratic Republican from 1829-1837. The entire Jackson campaign not only started up revolutionary political election tactics such as rallies, parades, and lavish dinners that supporters paid for, but it also sparked up a whole new era of mass democracy, and gave birth to the political party that we now know as the “Democrats”. Mr. Jackson considered himself, a president for the people, with a strong personal stance on a capitalist democracy, he was a forceful leader not afraid to use his veto vote when he felt passionate about a certain issue. When it came to domestic policy Jackson was a very proud man, who some say let his personal views influence…

The Importance of Life Life is an incredible thing and can be found in countless different shapes, sizes, and forms. But no matter what form life takes, it always has one characteristic that never changes, and that is it’s always important and is always discussed in the highest regards. In two articles from the Coyote Reader, “To Really Save the planet, Stop Going Green by Mike Tidwell”, and “Topic of Cancer” by Christopher Hitchens, the idea that life is important is exemplified and explained through two very different scenarios. By looking at these two articles, one talking about saving the environment and the effects that will happen if it is not saved, and one talking about a man trying to save his life from the devastating effects of…

While analyzing historical texts, one should always proceed with caution, and read tentatively; specifically, due to misinterpretations, false translations, and basic human error, verbal speeches delivered in previous centuries tend to succumb to inaccuracies, which leads to false transcripts of the actual work. Despite this, one can still appreciate the words of Chief Seattle, the Native American chieftain of the Suquamish tribe, in his speech Address, which was presented to the European settlers in America circa 1854. In his speech, Chief Seattle presents his beliefs concerning the white settlers wishing to purchase his tribe’s land in order to create modern cities and European infrastructure. In return for access to their land, the settlers…
