Our media example is President Trump and his executive orders. What will happen in the future? We’re going to play with that idea a little bit. Our trailer is going to be horror/comedy based and a play on movies/games like Slenderman, Paranormal Activity, and Scary Movie. It’s going to have a glimpse into the future of Donald Trump’s America (over-dramaticized, of course) and how his many executive orders will change America. This topic is interesting for us because it’s a fun thing to do and produce, but is also our reality. The message of our trailer is to show how President Trump’s executive orders may affect and have affected people targeted by these orders. These targets include: mexicans, muslims, refugees, and people who use the Affordable …show more content…
We intend to have people start paying attention and take action, rather than ignoring it. We hope to entertain and inform people about the dangers of our new president, but not too forcefully. We added comedy so it would be more relaxed and light, but still get our point across for this current event. (needs more) [ must be at least a page long ] We learned from this unit that Media literacy can have different biases on any topic good or bad. Sometimes the stories that come from the news, websites that can lead to one side or that may have multiple sides to it. People experience the same media messages differently than others because they have different opinions others do. People process things differently because they have different views on major things or they agree or disagree. People have negative view on a product, person, and a topic that they would be emotion about and vice versa with the positive side. Media Representation is used to target certain groups emotions on a topic that can have a major impact in their lives.
Victoria- I found interesting in this unit was the propaganda techniques because I only knew the definition of it not the techniques that the media uses to keep and get your attention and another one was the four core media and how to incorporate in life or watching the
