Donald Trump: Controversial Candidates

Decent Essays
Many Americans would argue that Donald Trump is a great candidate for the U.S president. I for one, believe he is not. The reasons for me believing this seem to be reasonable. I don't think anyone wants a president with no experience and a racist. For example, as a hotel owner/businessman, he’s filed bankruptcy, many times meaning he has gone broke due to bad decisions. America's economic problems are as bad as it is and cannot afford bankruptcy. Some of his ideas, in my opinion are unreasonable and extreme. He’s made unnecessary controversial remarks about many topics. Topics including abortion, mexican immigrants, etc. It MSNBC on says “Donald Trump said he would force the people of Mexico to build his vowed border wall to keep immigrants

So the question must be asked; do we really want this man as our next Commander in Chief? As far as eligibility, Donald Trump meets all requirements for a presidential candidate, but many people find his actions unpresidential. This is mostly related to the crude things he has been known to see over the past couple of months. For example, speaking one day in Iowa, Donald Trump said, “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose voters,” (Source 5). Donald Trump was looked down upon for this comment and definitely not the over-confidence that should be found in a President.…

I believe Hilary Clinton won the final presidential debate. Clinton’s performance was more persuasive than Trump’s because she spoke with sophistication and intelligences. This country can go in two directions. The first way is up, with Clintons ideas and views I believe our country can become great and everything from trade to economy can thrive. The second way is down, with Trumps and his ideas to build a wall to keep immigrants out and his lack of commence sense and human decency.…
