We all come to the United States looking for one thing, that is to provide a better life, education, and equality for ourselves and loved ones, yet you wish to take those dreams away by limiting our opportunities to what we call our American dream. The American Dream you are allowed to have and do not wish to share due to our background and color differences. Mr. Donald Trump, I happen to be a young woman with many dreams and goals, I wish to achieve in order to maintain a better education and stability for myself and family. Families are being torn apart, due to the differences and the view you have about immigrants living in the United States. As our president you want to unite our nation, but instead you choose to divide it with the new immigration reform you have established. According to the article Newsday, “Trump vows to seal the southern border to illegal immigration by erecting “an impenetrable physical wall” funded by federal dollars, which he says Mexico will reimburse” (Ramos). Listening and experiencing backlash from those I believed were friends of mine has now left an empty space. The thought of coming to the United States is a dream to many immigrants who are in search for a better life. I as the daughter of immigrants do not wish to see my people suffer, I do not wish to see families being separated and exiled do to differences. According to the article on abc7 news by Anabel Munoz, a young girl is pleading that her father is not detained and deported; she wants people to know that he is not a bad man, he works day and night in order to support his family and have a better life (Munoz). Mr. Trump America should be one melting pot uniting the nation as our leader is your number one job, yet you contradict yourself by shunning away those who seek to create their own American …show more content…
According to Gamboa, “Guadalupe García de Rayos was removed from the country to Nogales, Mexico after authorities attempted to deport her late Wednesday” (NBC News). The immigration reform is not benefiting anyone, what it is doing is hurting many innocent people looking for a much better outcome for there lives. I plead to you Mr. Trump as our new president to reconsider the reform, what the reform is for is not right and is hurting many families.
