Donald Trump Leadership Qualities

There are many qualities a good leader should have. Though many may not see him as a such, Donald Trump does, in fact, have many of the qualities they need. In most cases, he has these attributes that a skilled leader should have, but not in the way people necessarily expect.
A good leader is often a person others look up to, and aspire to be. While very few people other than businessmen aspire to be Trump, he can be, in his own way, inspirational. He sets high goals, always seems to reach them, and is wildly successful. While at times he becomes flustered and acts like a loose cannon when speaking, he has also been quoted giving very good -and inspirational- advice, such as “You have to think anyway, so why not think big?” Communication

If a leader does not have strong morals, why should anyone that follows them have it? Trump seems to have good integrity., He does not break laws or (most) moral codes, and acts strongly towards his beliefs. The degree of his integrity depends on the person doing the judging it, and their own opinion on his beliefs (such as immigration policies in regards to Mexico). Intuition is not something that can be learned, yet it is incredibly important for a leader to have. Donald Trump shows his intuition in many of the decisions he makes, and in the skillful way he interacts with people (sometimes). He also shows this though his understanding of the American public. He knows what people want to hear and how they want to be treated, and he does exactly that. This skillful interaction show how intuitive he is toward people, and it often helps him in his goals. Loyalty is a two way street, and an incredibly important part of leadership. Realizing this, Trump has made loyalty a major pitch in his campaign, citing past instances of his loyalty to employees, friends, family, and his future loyalty to our country. That being said, Trump once tried to trademark the phrase “you’re fired”, and was not known for saying it …show more content…
In this way, Trump excels. He has built up a business empire worth billions, and sells everything from real estate to expensive suits. His ability to make both wise and smart decisions have led him to be very successful, and proven that he knows when to make a move. He once said that “Sometimes your best investments are the ones you don 't make.” This quote shows how shrewd Trump can be when he wishes, an attribute incredibly important in a successful leader.
Being aware is a big part of being a leader. Leaders must have awareness of their people, their goals, and potential problems that might even them. Trump is somewhere in the middle between being aware and being oblivious in this way. He is very astute when it comes to business and decision making. At the same time, Trump often seems unaware of public opinions or issues, and says outlandish, offensive things that anger and annoy many people.
Confidence is incredibly important in a leader. It takes a confident person to lead people correctly, and for better or worse, Donald Trump has confidence. A year ago, no one would have believed Donald Trump could get this far with his candidacy, but because of his confidence, he has surpassed everyone’s
