Donald Trump: A Complicated Leader

Decent Essays
Donald Trump is a complicated leader. His leadership style is a mixture of transformational, charismatic, and authoritative. What makes him complicated is that he does not stick to one, which is a good thing to show versatility, but shows uncertainty for the public. That is because the public do not know how he would respond to certain situation. For example, during his campaigning he renounced the use of violence on Syria but he then dropped a bomb on Syria in early April. Leaving the public in uncertainty is what he is doing wrong. In a word, Trump is pissing everyone off. There are countries who are vocal about their hatred of the United States and are putting their nuclear weapons on display like trophies. Politics is a struggle for power. The feud between President Donald Trump and his former Chief Strategist Steve Bannon is the latest example of this struggle for power. As Trump and Bannon fight, it only becomes clearer that this battle is the President’s to lose, for he holds the power, not Steve Bannon. The quarrel between these two men began long before the release of Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.”…

Born in New York on June 14th, 1946, Donald Trump is a world famous, republican businessman who is well known by the media as being a considerably outspoken man, who isn’t afraid to voice his opinion about any issue, no matter how ridiculous his opinion may be. He is no different in his book, Time to Get Tough- Making America #1 Again. Throughout his book, Donald Trump makes sure to mention, numerous times, that President Obama has failed the United States, and provides suggestions that he believes will fix America and the problems President Obama has created.…

This article talks about some of the issues that President Trump had encountered in his first month on the job. The current 2016 presidential election season is one that has been marked by controversy and unconventional politics. Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, is not a politician, nor has he used the traditional practices of politicians during his campaign. Trump’s unlikely road to the Republican nomination has been questioned by common folk and political analysts alike. Some call Trump “insane,” some call him “brilliant,” but among the words tossed around to describe Trump, “Machiavellian” comes up quite a bit. Machiavellian refers to ideologies suggested in Niccolò Machiavelli’s The Prince.…

In my opinion, Donald Trump won the first presidential debate. His best moments were at the beginning as he described a worn down United States, taken advantage of by other countries and torn apart by its own government. His commitment was to hold these people responsible at home and abroad and get tough on anyone who opposed him. Some of the most important statements he made was that he is going to get jobs back into America and re-negotiate our trade deals so we aren’t getting screwed over by people like China. I liked what he had to say to Hillary Clinton: “For 30 years, you've been doing it, and now you're just starting to think of solutions.”…

As President, Donald Trump is more of a transformational leader than a transactional leader. He inspires and connects with Americans, he is more concerned with the wealth and safety of America, as a whole, than he is with his own wealth.
