However, of the 231 million people eligible to vote in the United States, only 48.1% of Americans are are pleased with this outcome. States, as well as thousands of Americans across the country are demanding ballot recounts in hopes of redirecting the outcome and the fate of the country. Many are dumbfounded, wondering how a businessman from Queens, New York with no political background whatsoever managed to pull this off. Thereafter in 2004 he went on to starring in the hit reality NBC Television show The Apprentice. It wasn’t until 2015 Trump announced his running as a Republican candidate in the 2016 election. Many Americans were shocked by this release and many took it as a joke early on. Trump started out his campaign with wild statements such as the “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States,” and “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists.” Early on Mr. Trump also accused President Obama of not being a natural born United States citizen. Mr. Trump has also gotten much attention for his idea of building a wall on the Southern border of the United States separating it from Mexico, and intends to have Mexico pay for it. All of these radical ideas were the basis of Trump’s campaign, and made him stand out from any other politician in history, making him turn heads, and make headlines. Many hard-working American’s today are drained from crooked politicians in past governments. In the eyes of many of these hard-working rural Americans, many of Trump’s outrageous statements are considered to fall under the phrase “we were all thinking it, he just said it,” These “ridiculous” statements were one of the ways Trump was able to connect with the American people and give a sense of realness, giving him a legup on Clinton. Although it is true that many Republicans did in fact find Trump rude and crude at times, they are well aware he is an unpolished politician, and are grateful he

I remember when Donald Trump first announced his political run for office. He built his campaign on the slogan: We’re going to Make America Great Again, “reinforced” by his bold claim of “building a wall”. When Trump got down into the weeds with Megyn Kelly during the first Fox News Republican debate, I sensed Donald Trump was a proud and arrogant man. I went on my own campaign against him; making phone calls, writing emails, calling news agencies and talk shows, posting madly to Facebook — whatever I could do to try to stop a really bad person from wrecking the Republican Party and damaging the nation. NeverTrump was my obsession, but it was, at that time, merely political for me.…

I believe Hilary Clinton won the final presidential debate. Clinton’s performance was more persuasive than Trump’s because she spoke with sophistication and intelligences. The second way is down, with Trumps and his ideas to build a wall to keep immigrants out and his lack of commence sense and human decency.…

Trump markets himself as a businessman and not a politician; in his campaign announcement speech Trumps keeps referring to himself as the “right guy,” the guy who is going to make America great again. Trumps wants to instill and, more importantly, bring out the skepticism in the public; he claims that America has been brought to near ruin because of the incompetence of America’s current leaders. He attacks and belittles politicians as seen in his speech when, after discussing America’s debt to China,”How stupid are our leaders? How stupid are these politicians to allow this to happen?”(Trump, Donald. “Our Country Needs a Truly Great Leader”Trump Tower, New York City.…

Donald Trump was an unexpected runner for this year’s presidential election. At first, many people thought his running for the presidency was a joke. Unfortunately, as time went on, what many thought to be a joke suddenly became more serious as more and more people began to show him support and he shows no sign of dropping out anytime soon. Which is unfortunate since much of what he says is far from being presidential, let alone professional. From what I’ve seen of his speeches and debates, he often makes terrible statements about other candidates as well as other groups of people, building off of peoples hate to rally more support.…

The slogan that propelled Donald Trump into his influence across the nation, “make America great again,” shows that Trump sees America has fallen downhill and has hopes to improve it. Trump wants to see this country go back to the prosperous country it once was, but he does not know how to filter his words according to most, which makes him seem frightening. Despite Clinton’s accusation about the risk of Donald Trump, his clever use of scare tactics gives voters a sense of security because of his ideas concerning immigration and terrorism. According to Molly Ball, author of “Donald Trump and the Politics of Fear,” Donald Trump uses fear to his advantage in hopes of winning the presidential election.…
