Donaghy once explains about the function of metaphors in his book. According to him the functions of metaphors are connotative and aesthetic. From the connotative function, translation refers to the ability to translate metaphor. To describe concrete and abstract concepts to be more detail, express what inside thoughts and characterize the quality of the described object. From the aesthetic function, it refers to the ability of a metaphor to provide the aesthetic impact on the reader, to interest and surprise the reader (Donaghy 2014:
