Don’t Judge a Book By Its Cover People are going to make assumptions about you anywhere you go, it’s just a part of life. My eighth year I transferred to Pershing Middle School and I was considered the new girl, I hated it. Everybody had their own clique of friends and everybody knew each other and then there’s me…walking around school like a lost puppy. My first day of high school I was really anxious because I didn’t get to see some my friends over the summer. When the lunch bell rings I get too excited because I get to see everybody and make more new friends. As I’m walking to the courtyard I see my friend Malik and guess who was standing right there? Corie! I wasn’t going to be petty since it’s a new start and it’s to be mature so I was cordial with her. As we’re talking she seemed like a down to earth girl that I could hang with and I kind of regret not getting to know her.
