When you litter in lakes, and rivers it doesn’t do something very good. Large amounts of trash goes into water. Once trash is in a lake or river some of the particles settle and become bottom sediments. Chemical pollutions can be adsorbed to the particles are incorporated into the sediments, they will be permanently buried, or moved to different locations. People that live near water have a big advantage, but when you through your trash on the ground you are causing a big problem for someone else. Every time you litter it always ends up in water. This pollutes the water and makes the animals very very sick. In the pacific ocean there our 2 garbage patches in the western part and the northern part. Nearly every city, town, and waterside settlement discharges some type of pollution, even us. People are treating the ocean like trash bins, around 80 percent of marine litter originates on land and most of that is plastic. Plastic that pollutes our oceans and waterways has severe impacts on our environment and our economy. When animals get sick from the pollution they will die. If an animal is sick and is and gets eaten by another animal that animal will get sick and eventually die. This proves that when you litter you are polluting the ocean and also hurting
