Who is Responsible?
Johnny Mendes was a professional mountain climber who scaled the world's tallest peaks, until, he wasn't. One night he decided to scale a small but rocky mountain near his homeland without any protection and he fell to his painful death. Life is made up of choices and actions each leading up to their consequences. Whether it's education wise or life wise the choices and decisions one makes make up his future. Although many blame the parents and teachers it is ultimately the students that should be held accountable for their failure because it is their responsibility to succeed and students need to learn to meet the expectations of others.
Yet, many still blame a teacher or the parents if a student chooses to fail. From the

In the story, Don't Just Wring Your Hands about Kids’ Substance Abuse, John Rosemond writes about parents who asked for his advice about teenagers smoking marijuana, using hallucinogens and smoking. One couple found out that their 16 year old son had been smoking weed, they confronted him and he promised to stop. But after their son didn't take their warnings too seriously, they forced him to face the harsh reality, they sold his car and implanted new rules upon him. He was to pass random drug tests for three months, maintain good grades and stay away from the criminal crowd. Realizing the truth in his parents actions he took control of the situation and changed his life around. “Said prodigal is in month two of his new of his new life, and all seems to be going well.” (2). A child still needs the support of family and friends to succeed but one has to make the decision to change his attitude when needed. Unlike the other 16 year old boy, Donny from Teenage Wasteland refused to change even though he was given so many chances to.
