Don T Judge A Book By The Book Cover Analysis

“...before you start pointing fingers... make sure your hands are clean.” Bob Marley said this quote and it means that if you don’t know someone, don’t judge them until you really get to know them. Also, once you get to know them, they can be really nice and friendly. Don’t judge a book by its cover is the theme developed by the author, Avi, in the story, True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.
In the first few chapters from the book, one pages 19-20, when Charlotte first met Zachariah she treated him very poorly. However, Zachariah treated her so nice, but Charlotte didn’t do the same for him. This supports the theme because she treated him this way for one reason. It was because of what he looked like. His clothes were torn, he was old, and when he smiled, you saw that he had barely any teeth.
There is another important event that happened, and it was on pages

They also think that he trying to be a crew member is a trick by the captain because she told him about the round robin. She said that the captain doesn’t want anything to do with her and the crew thinks she is lying. This supports the theme because it wasn’t fair that the way she looked affected how the crew thought about her. Also, if she wants to join the crew, they shouldn’t care if she is a girl. She wants to stand with them and there is not anything wrong with that.
A fourth example would be on page 197 because Keetch was on the Captain’s side the whole time. Charlotte and Zachariah really trusted him. They trusted him enough that they let him come down to the brig with Zachariah, and then they told him the plan. After that, he told Captain Jaggery about Zachariah and the plan. This supports the theme because Zachariah and Charlotte trusted him more than anyone. Another thing is that Charlotte and Zachariah didn’t know him entirely well because he was new to the

In "A Teachable Good Book: Of Mice and Men" by Thomas Scarseth, the professor argues that "Of Mice and Men" is a tragedy, in which it is simple, yet complicated as it provides wonderful examples of realism and problems in the world, despite being a short read. Scarseth provides many claims and examples supporting the thesis of his paper, which will be highlighted in this essay. The claims are: every story doesn't have to have a happy ending, objectionable elements are necessary as they make stories more realistic, and not everything someone wishes for comes true. Scarseth's first point states that every story doesn't have to have a happy ending. Scarseth made this claim by stating in his paper, "...literature is not always only mere sugar candy; it can sometimes be a strong medicine: sour perhaps- at least to the untrained taste- but necessary for continued health.…

In Between Shades of Gray, pages three to sixty-six, Lina Vilkas and her family are arrested and taken away from their home on June 14, 1941. When the NKVD arrives on their doorstep, the family immediately begins packing their most useful possessions and destroying the rest of their belongings. Afterwards, they are loaded onto a cramped train car, where they meet Andrius Arvydas, a seventeen year old from Sanciai, who cannot find his father, just like Lina. In these few chapters, a literary element was frequently used, flashbacks. This section has seven flashbacks, which is a considerable amount.…

When Charlotte trusts him too much and tells him about the pistol and round robin he takes immediate action. Captain Jaggery killed the stowaway, Cranick, and abused Zachariah for extra punishment to the crew, but no real reason. This proves this book has a theme of don’t judge a book by its cover because Charlotte trusts the captain and tells him everything. This is because she thought the crew were liars and sketchy, so told on them to the captain. She also thought the captain was high class enough to be responsible.…

The color contrast and combination was just very dramatic.…

The reason she could trust him is that he was really friendly to Charlotte. One of the conflicts was that Charlotte didn't trust anyone on the ship for the trip to America. One of the reasons she was really excited in the beginning is because her father told her that there was another family that was getting on the ship with her. When Charlotte was getting ready to get on the ship she asked Mr. Grummage, if the family her dad told that they were coming were here.…

Diverse Opinions on Banned and Challenged Books As a critic like myself this book would be acceptable to a certain age group, with an absolute understanding of the world today and the sexual immortality and treason-like perceptions that co-exist in this novel. While explaining my point of view I will use references, word cite, and research articles. There are two different perceptions of the book I am referring to. First, “challenged books” referred to as “a book that has, for whatever reason, been considered inappropriate, and its removal from library shelves has been requested.”…

How many times have people heard the saying ¨don 't judge a book by its cover¨? This common phrase teaches a meaningful lesson. Everyone, one point in their life, has judged something based on its appearance, whether they judged something from food to people.
