Imagine if you were a parent to a new driver. How would you feel when the thought of them being put on the road with so many possibilities leading them to their last breaths occurs? There is endless possibilities but the the worst one for me to imagine is death from someone's irresponsibility. Choosing to drink and drive is not just a choice you make for yourself, but anyone else who maybe on the road. Let me show you my view towards drinking and driving through patterns, lines and shapes.
When the audience looks at the visual I have created they are looking as if they are the driver of the car. They are driving behind a car whose driver is drinking and driving. Both cars are headed down the extremely long road which never end. Alongside the road are repeated triangles heading in the same direction towards the horizon. The audience will think the road is extremely long because you cannot see the end of the road and it continues on forever. I made the road look like it never ends so I could relate to the idea of trying to stop drinking and driving is a long road and we don't know what's ahead. Another reason I made it continuous is because when you were trying to

I did that because when anyone is on the road with a drunk driver, everybody needs to be aware. The audience will think the triangles are meant to communicate a safety issue which drinking and driving is. In the picture everybody on that road is in danger which is why they are trapped inside of the triangles. They are trapped because when on the road there's no really turning back because whatever happens behind you or in front of you can still put you in danger. The way that the triangles continue on as if they are surrounding everything inside makes it feel like everything inside is being trapped. The decision that one immature driver makes can affect everybody on the road making all of them being trapped without their

Drunk driving has been a huge factor in everyday life. People have lost their lives because of other people who are careless and get behind the wheel while intoxicated. We typically don’t consider drunk driving as a big deal like we would a bombing or a killing of someone famous. It’s sad to see that people are dying every day because of this one bad decision. I recently lost one of my friends Jacob Salazar to a driver who was driving while intoxicated. In January of 2016, Jacob was driving home one night when all of a sudden a car swerved into the median and came into oncoming traffic and struck the front of Jacobs’s car. On his way to the hospital, he passed away and just like that an eighteen-year-old boy who had his whole…

Driving is not easy. It takes skill, knowledge, and preparation. When learning how to drive, there are three main objectives, the driver must know how to operate the car, must follow the directions and rules of driving, but also must acknowledge that others may not follow these same rules of driving. In a letter, written by Dave Barry, about this topic, it demonstrates how he decided to prepare his daughter for life on the road. Dave Barry’s letter, “A Floriduh driver’s guide for my teen with a learner’s permit,” is a high level comedy that uses sarcasm and hyperboles to convey the universal truth to drive defensively.…

In an article called, “Impaired Driving: Get the Facts” it says, “Every day, almost 30 people in the United States die in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver. This amounts to one death every 51 minutes. The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $59 billion” (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration 1). The fact that so many people die every day in the United States from alcohol related accidents is absolutely ridiculous. The stories are endless. In Steve Schmadeke’s article, “Man gets 15 years in DUI accident that killed mother, son” He talks about the terrible tragedy that ended two innocent lives. Schmadeke states, “A speeding, unlicensed driver who crashed into another car on the Northwest Side, killing a mother and her teenage son and injuring three other children, was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison” (Schmadeke 1). Because 37 year old, Richard Strum decided to drive while intoxicated, he took two innocent lives and injured three others. He not only took a mother, but he also took a daughter, sister, and wife. He not only took a son, but he also took a brother, cousin, best friend, student, and ultimately someone who didn’t even have a chance at real life before it was taken away. Drunken driving accidents are far too common in today’s society. What more can people do to help? The death rate due to driving while intoxicated only continues to increase. No amount of alcohol is worth more than a human’s…

When was the last time you heard anything about one’s alcohol consumption killing someone? Not frequently enough, in fact, there are an average of 115 people killed daily due to someone's choice to drink irresponsibly, but society fails to emphasize the impact drunk driving has on America.
