Don John's Rivalry In Much Ado About Nothing

William Shakespeare was the writer of 38 plays including Much Ado About Nothing. In the book Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, Don John, the illegitimate brother, is a major character foil to Don Pedro. This play is about a relationship between two characters and what happens when an upset brother ruins the bond between the two. The foil between these characters show how sibling rivalry can lead to one hurting others. Don Pedro has character traits such as loyalty, being respectful, and truthful. He shows these traits when Shakespeare wrote about Don Pedro and Count Claudio talking at the party telling Claudio he will help him win over Hero:
