Don Henley's Short Story

Decent Essays
It was around 11 p.m. on a Saturday night and I remember vividly, sitting in my room whilst drawing. I even remember what radio station was on, Don Henley radio. The night was pretty calm until we got a phone call. My mom answered and I could hear her saying “what” multiple times, frantically. My legs moved rather quickly to where my mom was standing only to find her face plastered with confusion and worry. My body suddenly felt as if it had been put in the heat of a thousand suns and my heart was pounding rapidly. Shortly after she hung up the phone and began to tell us what had happened. My grandma had collapsed in her kitchen while with a granddaughter. The ambulance had arrived and attempted to resuscitate her.
