Domino effect After the man coming back home sees the murder of his wife he then calls the police. When a resident of the same complex says that the next door neighbor could have possibly done it. He is then taken into custody as a suspect of the murder. After he was supposed to have dinner with his in laws and his wife, thinking he was going to come back quickly. Which then ended up being 10 plus years later. When he was in prison they brought in a detective named Detective Ford, who had a reputation of handling cases such as this one. During his interrogation with him Daniel ended up feeling the pressure that Mr. Ford attacked with he ended up lying and said that he did commit the crime. The chose another one named Detective Ford, who had a reputation of being able to handle cases as serious as this one. When he interrogates suspects he is able to get the information he wants by attacking them verbally and psychologically. When the first suspect was called Ford went at him by saying words like I knew you did it and etc. The detective managed to crack down Daniel so hard he ended up confessing saying that he did it. Even though he truly had nothing to do with the crime. In fact that ended up happening with the other three suspects that were named all saying they did the crime even though they had nothing to do with it. All due to Ford’s method of interrogation. In fat when Derek was asked to name another suspect and he named some of them. One of them ended up having an allaby that’s when Ford came back and called Derek a liar and said that he was going to …show more content…
A letter was sent to somebody and in that letter contained saying that the person killed the lady and then raped her. The name of that man was Omar Ballard. He was already in prison for a crime he also murdered someone who lived in the same complex and also raped a fourteen year old girl who only lived a few miles from the crime scene. When asked if he had any accomplices in the crime he said no. His DNA also matched the sample from the crime. When Eric Wilson’s trial was going on Joe Dick was called up to the stand he made up a story saying that they met Ballard and they found the him In the parking lot during the crime when they was trying to get inside the victim’s house. When Eric was called to the stand he then said he didn’t do it and the only reason he said he did it because Ford attacked him verbally. When the jury heard the confession tape they determined that he was guilty. That ended up being the downfall for the rest of the suspects when they went on trial. When they were finally released due to heavy fight from supporters. Some like Derek and Eric have to register as sex offenders every year which means lack of job openings and other things. Even though their supporters are fighting for those labels to be removed the law system of Virginia never wavered on their final rulings. Possibly never wanting to prove that they were
