Domino’s pizza has dedicated and committed to quality service, products and delivery for over 50years. The company literally restarted their business from the ground up. Changing the marketing strategy, HR practices, and the taste of the pizza has helped Domino’s reached their way back to the top. Domino’s has taught not only their competitors but a life lesson to us all; no matter what circumstances you are going through, you must stay focus on your vision. The case study focus on the challenges and strategy plan the company will implement to overcome the obstacle of regaining consumers trust and loyalty.

They also used assembly line-based systems and standardized processes to improve productivity and lessen the preparation time. Using a conveyor-belt oven technology was a great idea. However, they were only focus on fast pizza and became side tracked on “great pizza”. Dominos began to suffer. Due to not priding themselves in the taste of the pizza; bad morale was created demolishing their reputation. Dominos went from the top to scoring the lowest on the pizza chain. Their stock prices declined as well. I read an article that stated, memories of the Dominos of my childhood are dim: red-and-blue sense memories of cardboard box, cardboard flavor. Industrial food for school parties, the stuff harried parents fed to you at a weekend sleepover (Alexander, 2013) . I found myself in memory land after reading that. I remember having perfect attendance in elementary school. The school offer those kids Domino’s pizza on the stage in the cafeteria or when I attended sleepovers and the parents will have tons of red and blue boxes of pizza and snacks. I applauded them for using consumer’s harsh criticism and turning it into something positive. Dominos taught us teamwork really does make the dream work. Dominos revamped its pizza recipe, introduced new products, Human Resource practices/ policies, and marketing strategies after facing harsh consumer criticism. In my opinion, Dominos have been through many struggles throughout the years but the changes they made are remarkable. We all know gaining trust and loyalty back is two of the hardest things to do. Rather it’s a breakup, family drama, or destroyed friendships; those are the two hardest traits to gain when trying to rekindle and bond those relationships. Dominos has taught us that a little TLC, dedication, and patience can make a difference. I do believe Dominos should pay their employees more. After all your employees run your business.
