The women's facial expressions from the impact of a mans fist in a parallel series with the woman aging causes the viewer to sympathize, feel remorse, or even relate on a personal level to the point of interest. The somber colors used in the picture, such as deep greys and pale blues really set the mood for the viewer, and even set of a scope to view the issue of domestic violence. The colors presented are associated with a generally sad perspective. The way the scars and wounds on the woman get more graphic as she ages cause the viewer to deeply think about the severity of the how nothing is generally done regarding the issue. This same concept of “growing” serves as a logical appeal in the way that not getting help will result in a longer life span of the problem of domestic violence. By doing this, logos are being created andand basic knowledge is used to prove a certain point. All of the ethos, pathos, and logos used help build upon the kairos being used as the main mode of appeal. Kairos is established by the outfits the woman is wearing showing the domestic violence progression through different time periods and generations.
