According to an article by Charlie Rose and Jan Crawford, “there’ve been fourteen instances of domestic violence in the NFL over the last two years” (Rose and Crawford). Also, “USA Today” recently published an article, stating “713 players listed going back to 2000. Plenty of misdemeanors, yes, scuffles in bars. But there are much more serious charges, as well” (“USA Today Lists”). These statistics are just astronomical and with every new case, that represents one more loved one being severely injured. Wertheim that reported the results of a medical exam on Nicole Holder, the girlfriend of Carolina Panthers star Greg Hardy.
