Domestic Violence In Haiti

In Haiti this is such a big issue that there are many cases of domestic violence published in newspapers every day and most of the victims are women. It’s not a secret. In fact, according to Human Rights Watch an organization that, the disaster “had exacerbated the vulnerabilities” of women in Haiti. Domestic violence is also a big deal in the USA, but in Haiti there is a much higher percentage. Sexual violence is widespread (Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Center.) In Haiti, people are twice more likely to face sexual violence than in the USA (Violence Against Women.)
For Example, after the earthquake that occurred in January, 2010, many house collapsed, this many people died, left homeless. That bring the case became worse. Sources
