73% of Australian women have had more than one experience with domestic violence. Domestic violence is a big problem in Australia. Women have the most chance of experiencing domestic violence. The definition of domestic Violence is "Domestic violence and emotional abuse are behaviours used by one person in a relationship to control the other" (domesticviolence,2015).
Domestic violence is important issue to talk about because there are 58% of Australians that haven't report domestic violence. More than half of Australians that have be affected by domestic violence haven't reported it so there are more domestic violence issue going on than we no.

Domestic violence goes against catholic social teaching. The catholic social teaching principles that domestic violence goes against are human dignity and respect for human life. The parts that make up the principal of human dignity are all humans have dignity, all humans are created in gods image and human life is scared.
