Domestic Violence Behaviors

From other’s responses I have learned that most of domestic violence incidents stems from substances abuse users. These patterns of dangerous behaviors can cause deep emotional scarring (CASANY Initiatives, 2005) especially in children who witness these damaging types of behavior. The most compelling points from the interaction with my fellow students are the points that mentioned that domestic violence is a set pattern of insulting behaviors that abusers use to gain control over their significant other. These convincing points highlighted the facts that these behaviors are not limited to physical abuse. But, spreads far and wide such as, mental, financial, emotional and sexual abuse (CASANY Initiatives, 2005).
