Domestic violence is domestic abuse. Where someone behavior patterns implies to controlling or dominating someone else, whether it’s a partner, child or relative. Domestic abuse comes in different forms such as physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, sometimes combining several of them simultaneously. The main purpose of such control is too completely intimidate and manipulate someone. This certain intimidation is caused by frightening, beating, terrorizing, hurtful, humiliating, blaming, injuring, wounding, and many more.
Domestic violence is present in almost every society of the world. The term can be classified on various bases. Domestic Violence is defined as “any physical act of violence directed at one partner or another” (306). The majority of victims of domestic violence in heterosexual relationships are women. One out of every three adult women experiences at least one physical assault by an intimate partner during adulthood. African Americans experience domestic violence at a high rate in comparison to their numerical representation in the population. Although domestic and sexual violence occurs in all socioeconomic classes, socioeconomic disadvantages do increase the risk of the incidence of violent crimes.
Research suggest that domestic violence only occur when the offender have control issues. Some who commit abusive acts may experience these acts themselves earlier in life or watch these acts happening on someone growing up. But the crazy part about domestic…
