The two neighborhoods that I will be comparing and contrasting will be the Dolton neighborhood and the west side neighborhood and it is K town. The Dolton neighborhood is quiet and it is a small little city. The west side neighborhood is kind of bad because I used to live over there and from the looks of it, it got worse like more killing on the west side k town area. The dolton area is more secure with police officers who are always int he area 24/7 all day everyday. Both neighborhoods are different because they are 45 mins away from each other.

One is good and the other one is bad. Dolton neighborhood is in between calumet city and river-dale. It is a small city in Illinois and a lot of things to do in Dolton. The west side of Chicago is on the west side and it is just all streets and no numbers. Two different environments and two different locations is what these two have that are different. What they both have the same is that they both have schools in the area and they both have houses all over and people all around to go to school and work. The transportation are the same in both dolton and in k town.

Overall, both dolton and the west side k town are different and similar in many ways as you can see. There are a lot of things that show that k town is dangerous and there are a lot of things that show that dolton is good. A lot of people can see the difference between the two locations because of the two different environments. The locations are obviously different as well one is out south and the other is of course out west.Transportation is the same only because you can get around all over the world with cars, trains, buses, bikes,

One reason is the dynamics of the neighborhoods may differ. One neighborhood may have a large population of young adults that may demonstrate more deviant activity as compared to the neighboring neighborhood that may be a more settled and made up of mid to older aged residents that did not adopt the “code of the street”. Another reason could be due to the type or amount of illegal activity that is going on in one neighborhood compared to the adjacent neighborhood. Moreover, one neighborhood could have a multiple number of gamblers or drug and gun dealers, which would draw a wide diverse of individuals in and out of the dealers’ place of residency.…

When one thinks of two towns, most people generally assume that these towns share practically no differences whatsoever. However, if one can properly analyze two specific towns, Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and Bethlehem, New York, their assumptions would quickly be proven wrong because of the varying differences of these towns. Among these differences are the environments of the towns, as well as the effect of technology on the two contrasting communities. Bethlehem is a rural community that resembles a town of the past, while Bensalem is a suburban township that represents the modern standard of a society.…

Anderson starts the book by discussing four different neighborhoods on this one stretch, describing how the environment changes as you move further into the inner city. The neighborhood of focus discussed in the beginning of the book appears to have more of a “street element”, as Anderson calls it. People seem to have a general disregard for the law. Anderson makes a point to say that morning is typically the safest time of the day; I find it sad that there are neighborhoods so unsafe that you have to plan when you are going to be outside of your home. The further down the avenue that someone travels, the worst things get.…
