Recently many dolphin deaths which have occurred in captivity have been recorded. Articles have been written of dolphin mistreatment at aquariums. “Mental, emotional, and physical stress weaken an immune system which make them prone to disease”- US Whales and Dolphins. Dolphins should not be in captivity because it decreases life span, ability to swim freely and natural behaviors. Many aquariums like to put dolphins in captivity just to get money from people who just want enjoy a dolphin show. When dolphins are in the wild they usually roam around 100 miles a day, but in captivity they are practically trapped and have no room to move. Also, some dolphins can be harshly treated by their trainers just to show off
When dolphins are in the wild their life expectancy is 20 -30 years

SeaWorld treats their animals with disrespect. Some examples of marine life cruelty are 62 dolphins have died in SeaWorld. 16 dolphins have died due to stillbirth.
There are some benefits of dolphins being in the wild. One of them is is how dolphins protect humans from shark attacks which means if their is a shark attack and a human is nearby by, the dolphins try and protect the human so the shark will not harm them. Another one is how dolphins guide ships through thick fog so the ship and the dolphins are safe which means is there is a lot of fog the dolphins will go on the sides of the ship and guide it out of the fog. The last one is is if ships are in an area where dolphins are,the dolphins will jump so the ship can see that the dolphins are there.
When dolphins are in captivity it reduces becase it decreases life, ability to swim freely and natural behaviors. You can protect dolphins in captivity by when going to aquariums not paying for dolphin shows, or doing interactions with dolphins unless the dolphins will be there forever.
