Dolly Parton Research Paper

Born on January 19, 1946, Dolly Parton has had 70 years to live love learn and laugh about her childhood and rural upbringing(“Parton” 1). Growing up Parton did not have much money but they still had a happy life she even said herself that “while we didn’t have much money we had a good life”(Dawn 1). Parton was the fourth of 12 children and her mother had one miscarriage(Freeman 1). Her parents Robert and Avie Lee always new that there was something special about her and believed she could do anything she set her mind to (Dawn 1). Parton has always had the ability to inspire others and with her type of talent she was able to inspire woman who had less authority and others who had harsh living conditions through her lyrics. Speaking her mind and heart is one of her most famous characteristics which gave her the ability to contribute to country music when it was mainly focussed on men(Dolly Parton biography1). Ms.Parton took her inspiration from Rose Maddox, Molly O’day and Patsy Klein. Growing up around music Parton was given her first real guitar by her uncle who also inspired her(Dolly Parton Charity 1). Opening in may of 1986 Dolly Parton was inspired to name it Dollywood because of the Hollywood sign in California(“Parton” 1). Dolly Parton has spared no expense on making Dollywood a family getaway in the smokys, spending over 110 million dollars in renovations and expansions it is a sight to behold(Dollywood History1). This year marks the 30th anniversary of the grand opening so 2016 is no year to slow down on the creative and intriguing renovations to the
