Did you know that there is a long story behind the famous Dolly Parton’s life? Dolly Parton was born on January 19,1946 in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, United States, and she also was the fourth child out of twelve (“Dolly Parton”1). Dolly’s mother was married by the age fifteen , and had twelve kids by the time she was thirty-five (Parton 1). Dolly had four sister and six brothers (Dolly Parton 2) . Dolly’s Uncle Billy Earl introduced her to the music life at the age of ten (“Dolly Parton”4). Dolly has won lots and lots of awards for her music and movies (“Dolly Parton”4). Dolly has been the top female country singer for years , and her life shows that living a difficult life actually makes you stronger (Dolly Parton 26). During Dolly’s life she was the only one to graduate high school in 1964 (“Dolly Parton”3). After dolly graduated , she moved that same exact day to a tiny apartment over a Laundroment called Wishy Washy (“Dolly Parton” 2). She also fell in love with Carl and moved away with him secretly , and they fell in love in Ringgold, Georgia on May 30, 1966 at the Baptist Church (“Dolly Parton”3). Known fact that when Dolly was first born, her family was so poor that her daddy couldn’t afford to pay the doctor for giving birth to her, so he gave him a sack of cornmeal (Parton 3). In 1976, Dolly made a TV show called Dolly (“Parton” 4 ) . The TV show didn’t really make it far , but dolly’s music was still popular (“Dolly Parton”4). Dolly was very famous for her movies , but she said “ one movie that was an absolute joy to make was Straight Talk I am proud of it as anything i have ever done” ( Parton 276 ).
