Doing Research At Union: A Case Study

I am interested in doing research at Union this spring, to gain experience and start thinking about what field of bioengineering I am interested in pursuing in the future. My current research interests are tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.     This video was very informative concerning the ins and outs of a unionized work environment. One of the things that was presented is the fact that a union protects the union workers from unfair treatment in the work place as well assist with clearing up any misunderstandings. One example is how the hotel dissolved the entire department, consequently the workers fired happen to be strong supporters of the union. In this particular case, a judge through the Labor board ruled that this was illegal for the hotel to fire these workers along with making other unilateral changes to such as cuts to health insurance.
