What is my opinion on doing group projects. My opinion on group projects is that I do not agree with doing them. And I don't think that teachers should be required to do group projects. And the first reason to follow my opinion is that if you do group projects it will make the kids hyper and out of control and they will tear the classroom up. And the second reason I disagree with them is that kids might will get left out and the kids that try harder than others might get stuck will the kids that just do not try in school. The third and final reason that I disagree with group projects is that the kids that get hyper in the class that is doing the project will leave and when they go to their next class they will be hyper and out of control and hyper for the next teacher they go to and they will get in trouble and mess their whole day up. those are my three reasons why I disagree with doing group projects. …show more content…
If the kids get too hyper or out of control then the kids will tear up the classroom up and the might hurt another student and it will not be a good day for the class and the students. I do not think that teachers should have to be required. That is the first reason to support my opinion on why I disagree with doing group projects.

The second reason why I disagree with doing group project is that some of the kids might get left out. And the kids that try harder in school than others do might get stuck with kids that do not care and don't try in school and the smarter kids will be stuck doing all the work while the trouble makers goof off. And there is always going to be one kid that cannot get along with anyone, no matter who the teacher puts them with. That is the second reason to help support my

During my sophomore year of high school, in my AP Psychology class, we were assigned an in-depth group research project that would take the whole year to complete. They were to be over either a psychological theory or a social experiment related to psychology. The whole project would entail predictions, pre-research, experiments, and a final APA style psychology research report. When I do projects I prefer to do something no one else has done yet so then it’s something new for the teacher, my classmates, and me.…

I was worried about I may not attend the group well and involve others into trouble. I am surprised that I did good in the group. It is a good experience to work with others who have different culture and I did learn something new from the CLC group project. The problem was we had schedule and it was hard to contact people right away and everyone had their own opinions and points so communication was a very important element to deal with the project.…

Everyone knows how bad it is when you are in a group project, and someone in the group takes over the whole thing and won’t let anyone else make suggestions. Someone like this can make the the project miserable for the rest of the group and it puts more work on themselves because they don’t think that anyone else is capable of doing the work, so that person has to do the work themselves. You also want someone who is passing all classes. This way if we do projects in NJHS, the student won't feel overwhelmed with NJHS and trying to get their grades up in school.…

In high school, we were constantly being told that we could not work in groups because we would get too loud. In university group work was encouraged so that our professors wouldn't have to do as much marking. During my observations at my CSL there was a lot of group work. Comparing when the students were working on group work to their individual work, the results were polar opposites. The tasks for students was to write down what they knew about 5 sided figures.…

When the students were working on the laptops they seemed very involved in learning the content. This is hard to find in math, but working on the computers brought in the students interest in the material. Working in a group is also beneficial because if one student is confused, another student could be able to help explain what to do and how to perform the math problem. Sometimes it is good to put students in groups because it is important to hear different ideas that can help spark the understanding of the content. Working in groups also helps form the sense of a community in the classroom.…

This type of project really helps to give the students something that they have done for themselves.…

Socially group work is often praised. With phrases like “two heads are better than one”, team work seems like the most logical choice for a project. This has not been my experience at Florida State University. When faced with the prospect of another involuntary group project I imagined many possibilities and outcomes. None of which reflect my actual experience with the research I conducted, the way the information was formatted, or my experience with Group 3.…

Teachers can also reflect of what works with groups and what kind of roles the students excel at. I also learned and will implement team project processing forms. The forms are filled out by each team member and they determine how well they and their team worked together. It can also have the students come up with ways that the team can work better next time.…

There are numerous benefits of working with children as a group. Working in a group enables children to learn from their peers, learning from and with one another when set a task. They learn to simplify and bring together their ideas and thoughts to arrive at a solution to problems. They learn to listen and respect other opinions and ideas and begin to learn that there may be more than one solution and begin to realised their solution may not always be the best option. Working in a group also helps children to develop their language skills, as they have to make themselves understood, and problem solve, which helps with their higher order thinking skills.…

Overall, I was extremely happy with the effort my group put into this project. In terms of attending the group meetings, everyone was present and participated in the discussion. The first meeting took place on a Sunday afternoon at Baruch and the second meeting took place on a weeknight in the form of a Google Hangout. The times and places of these meetings alone displayed every group members’ commitment to the project, effort to accommodate for scheduling conflicts, and effort to ensure they are contributing their fair share to the group regardless the time or day of the week. At these meetings, we discussed ways to engage the crowd and critiqued each other’s slides and presentations.…
