Any way about 2 in- a- half weeks and I am finally in a loving house that will soon become a home. And yes I am living in a house with children, 2 to be exact. It is everything I had hoped for in a home. Now I can enjoy the rest of my life with a loving

The overpopulation of the dog supply is even negatively affecting the dogs themselves. A novelist named Douglas Anthony Cooper predicts that “next year, 4 million dogs and cats will be killed in shelters” (Cooper). Sometimes there are even cats at puppy mills as part of the business, however the focus is still on the dogs and unfortunately the shelters have to put the dogs down when there is no room for them because of the overpopulating supply. Robyn F. Katz emphasizes “at that time, the dogs are either sold to other breeders, left on the side of the road, neglected, or even killed” (Katz). Dogs are affected when the puppy mills go out of business because they are already severely damaged from living in the puppy mills for a long time and a lot of them would not have anywhere to go because there are so many of them.…

This, as I can now see, may have been the reason as to why my parents put off owning a dog. In 2012 came my family's big move from England to America. The promise gave me a sense of hope, leading me to regularly check local breeders and occasionally the local pounds.…
