Also dogs are becoming homeless and giving birth to puppy’s that become homeless as well. That is why I propose a meeting to come up with solutions. There has been a lot of issues that can be fixed, but let’s start where it began or how it did. Dogs are being let out of yards, or run away. Some are not being fed at home, so they find a way out to go and find food. Others are seen let out, so they can go do their business elsewhere. ] Do you think animals are intelligent? Using the two articles “Animal Snoops” and “How smart are animals” I can infer that animals are intelligent. I think this because in the article “Animal Snoops”, it says that animals eavesdrop on their prey so they can get their food. I also think that animals are intelligent because in the article “How smart are animals” it says that they can learn to solve a problem using motions in front of them. That's two things that support my statement that animals are very intelligent.…

The issue being addressed on dog parks is of mixed feelings. I believe they dog park should be built to allow a stress reliever, fun times, and better physical health for dogs. Furthermore, the idea of the dog park being built would allow dogs to have a stress reliever. It would also allow dogs to have a free range of area to run around and meet new dogs. For example in,"If a dog doesn't learn to get along with other dogs, it may attack a strange dog or a person.…

On 07/19/16 at 3:39pm, I was dispatched to 841 Crevis Lane on an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog owner known. I arrived at the location and spoke to victim John Haywood. I asked Mr. Haywood what took place; Mr. Haywood stated that he was in front of his house when he heard the next dog neighbor son scream from the back yard of 835 Crevis Lane stop Hanes from the back of the house. Mr. Haywood ran to the back of his house where he saw the next door neighbor’s dog attacking his dog through the fence. Mr. Haywood proceeded to try to separate the dogs.…

The only interaction that I have had that can be interpreted as being a pit stressful use to happen almost everyday in my old apartment. There used to be this old man who hated dogs (I never asked why), so every time that I was taking my dog out I needed to use the elevator because I lived in the eight floor, and I did not want to carry my dog down. When he was in the elevator I could not get in because he’ll just start yelling at me about my dog and the days when he did not say anything he would through this angry look at me. If I was in the elevator with my dog he would rather wait then take the elevator with me. Most of the time I would allow him to get the elevator first , even if I had been waiting for minutes, because he lived around…

The media has a massive platform to get stories out to the public, more so now than ever before, with the likes of Facebook and twitter for news stories about dog attacks to be shared across the country, or even, the world within seconds. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a perfect example of gaining a reputation mainly through the media, unfortunately for the SBT, their popularity was at its height as the media was discovering more outlets meaning stories of attacks spread further and faster. Owning a SBT began to bring a reputation itself as the owner being of an aggressive nature from a certain area in a town or city and certain employment status; often uneducated and sometimes associated with gangs. They became very popular amongst young males and seen as a status dog due to them being used in dog fighting; their history of once being ‘the nanny dog’, long forgotten by many. Due to their growing popularity amongst the young and the majority lacking the experience and calm assertiveness needed to own such a stubborn, strong breed, attacks involving the breed in the family home were widely reported on, stating how the attack was unprovoked and unpredictable, when in reality, the owner and dog’s personalities aren’t compatible; an aggressive, dominant owner with neurotic tendencies could aggravate any fear aggression or dominance aggression…

A dog owner in many households might spray the dog with water to teach them what they are doing is wrong, just as a child might get a timeout to prove that what they are doing is wrong. That kind of discipline is one thing, but dogfighting owners do things completely different. They abuse, beat, starve, and neglect these animals to develop aggression. Not only that, but the children that grow up around this behavior don't know any different, and when they are older the child will mistreat animals and could even be the cause of some domestic abuse. “The dog runs for up to an hour at a time--sometimes several times a day--on a treadmill.…
