Decent Essays

Dogs don't have a need for privacy and are not capable of understanding boundaries. Without boundaries themselves, dogs have no need to comprehend boundaries. But if this behavior really bothers you? You could just try shutting the bathroom door.

One way that humans use animal behavior to tell someone something is territoriality. Territoriality is a behavior that is meant to signify that this person, place, or thing is “mine.” Humans use this to show people that this certain bag is mine or this is my boyfriend so “Back Off.” Animals use it in a few more unsophisticated ways than we do. Animals become territorial when another enters their space or approaches their mate and offspring.…

As far as discipline and where some people think that they need to be spanked and their nose in their potty is really a failure on humans to properly train them appropriate behavior because everything the dogs do is normal and natural by our standards, but we all have different standards. What you want to do is interrupt the behavior to where everyone is safe and reuse your brain to reevaluate the situation and say, “How did that happen? What can I do so it won't happen…

When raising or working with an animal, people often mistakenly treat the animal like they would a person, a not very bright person but a person nonetheless. This isn’t the best approach to training an animal and it’s an issue that Sophia Yin addresses in her book, “How to Behave So Your Dog Behaves”. Yin covers everything from the domestication of dogs to different techniques that can be used to teach dogs various tricks like sit- and down- stay.
