Dirty dogs stink! Giving a dog is bath is an interesting task to complete. When bathing a dog there are many steps to complete and they should be completed thoroughly and in a timely manner. In order to have a clean puppy who smells great, gather the materials needed; such as dog friendly soap, a cup/bucket to wet the dog’s fur, have a towel or two ready for when the bath is over, one to place on the floor so water does not get all over the place and one to dry off the dog. Grab a plug or a small wash cloth to stop up the drain, being running the bath water, it should not be scalding hot but also not shivering cold. After all these steps are completed go fetch the sticky fur ball and remove his/her collar. If the dog is covered in a large amount of pests spray the dog down with flea/tick spray, this will help with a more accurate killing to free the dog from irritation. Lastly, place the dog into the bath tub.

Grab the dog, remove his or her collar and place him/her into the bathtub. It is optional to spray the dog with flea/tick killer before, after or before and after the bath. After placing the dog in the tub, grab a cup/bucket and slowly wet the dog's fur, apply a generous amount of soap down the dog's spine and massage thoroughly for approximately five minutes. When this process is finished, begin rinsing the soap out of the dog’s fur, be sure to get all the soap and soap suds rinsed out, if any soap is left on the dog it can cause an irritating skin infection. Once this is finished, lay one towel on the floor keeping the water from soaking everything, grab the dog and place him/her on the towel, put his/her collar back on and began drying the dog off with the second towel.
