Personal Narrative: New Dog Adoption

“RUFF!” My dogs barking kept ringing in my head after my best friend had recently passed. After Deacon died I could not wait ready to have a new dog! I could die I flattened on the days that I did not have any after school activities, I had absolutely no friends to hang out with and I really needed a new friend. I could not be the only one who wanted a new dog! My mom went over the top desperate to get a new dog. She’s looking on every dog website to find dogs up for adoption. Every time she fell in love with a dog the people would cancel on us or someone would get the dog before us. Until one day my mom fell in love with a Mookie Terrier! The dog had recently been abused by its past owner who really frightened it and made it aggressive …show more content…
All their pitchers could throw the ball like Seventy miles per hour! This could not a fair matchup It is like a Elephant vs. A peanut. Also I happened to be the only kid on my team that could actually get on base with a hit. The other kids only got hits by getting walks or getting hit all the sudden the umpire shouted “Ball game!” I could not wait to go get Harley! We could on our way to go get harley but it felt like forever even though the adoption center and we were trying to figure out names for her. Her original name Bella and my mom of course wanted to change her name s we had a big debate on what name it should be my mom came up with a good name, Quinn I agreed with it but my dad and sister did not! Then we searched up names for girl dogs and my dad said “How about Harley?” “Sure!” My mom said. “I’m okay with it!” I said. “Ok!” said my sister. Have you ever had a sigh of relief and realize that what just happened is historic well that's what I felt so excited for my new dog Harley. When we arrived at the adoption center the current foster lady said that Harley might get aggressive toward us, but boy she is wrong as soon as Harley jumped into our car she sat right on my lap and let me scratch her belly from that moment on I knew she would be the perfect dog.
