My Racing Opinion I think that dog racing is okay. On the other hand I don't think that ostrich racing should be aloud. I know that everybody has different opinions, but please let me talk to you mine. As humans we use steroids to enhance ourselves. In the article Prezi it states that “many are having their horses put on illegal performance enhancing drugs that are most likely and could kill them.” As humans we see animals as nothing but tools to entertain us. For instance we take part in horse racing, animal fighting, bull riding etc. I believe that animal sports is too harsh for the animals because it puts the animals in a lot of unnecessary stress.…

The Louisiana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (LSPCA) killed the pit bulls by lethal injection. Nineteen of the pit bulls were puppies (Dayan). This is a prime example of the misunderstanding and intolerance of this breed. Pit bulls should not be singled out as violent animals and should not have to be restrained based only on their breed. More importantly, all pit bulls should not be banned just because of their breed.…

Just because there has been a small number of pit bull attacks on humans doesn’t mean that pit bulls should be banned, it means that there should be laws and restrictions for those who own them. There can be changes made to the way that pit bulls are handled and at the same time only experienced and responsible owners should be allowed to handle these loving, but determined dogs. The name “pit bull” is not a breed of dog: it is a classification of several breeds of dogs that include the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American…

The modern day rodeo society is seen as cruelty and abuse from the outside world. The image of a lasso being thrown around a young cow’s horns or a man riding a bucking bull is seen as abuse, which could easily be seen that way to an uneducated person, but if one looks at the anatomy of the animals to the organizations and precautions taken the animals are very well protected. The truth is that these rodeo animals receive better treatment and medical care than the rodeo contestants themselves. The side of rodeo that the outside world only sees is the accidents were unfortunately either the animal or contestant is injured. The sport of rodeo in the U.S.A. is not a form of cruelty or abuse yet a sport with a risk just like any other.…

Should exotic animal ownership be legal? Once, when I was in the middle of my fourth grade summer vacation, I went camping with my family. More than once, on the ride there, we saw bears and a couple hawks and eagles. I think exotic animals should be allowed to be owned as pets, because it would be a nice learning experience, as many people wonder what it would be like to own a snake or turtle.…
