I just recently became aware of this brand when I met someone that used it so I decided to do a little research for myself. Exclusive makes several varieties of dog food but we’ll focus on the Adult Lamb and Rice formula for this post. Here are the ingredients:

Unfortunately, the next three ingredients are brewers rice (a low quality grain and by-product), brown rice and barley. While brown rice and barley are higher quality grains, the inclusion of all three of these ingredients is unnecessary. Grains are not a natural part of a dogs diet and are generally added by dog food companies to save money. The inclusion of three grain ingredients this high on the list is concerning.
Dried beet pulp is also a low quality ingredient and considered to be filler. Filler is anything added to a dog food that doesn’t provide nutritional value. Again, dog food companies do this to save on their costs. Egg product isn’t necessarily poor quality but whole eggs would be better.
Basically, this is a middle of the road quality food. It’s better than many of the grocery store brands out there and not as good as the premium brands (Taste of the Wild, Solid Gold, EVO, etc.).
