3 Types Dog Food You Should Know
There are basically three types of dog food including dry (also known as kibble), wet, and semi-moist. Each type has its own advantages and disadvantages also. In terms of nutrients, wet dog food is superior compared to others, while dry foods’ greatest feature is the convenience aspect.
1. Wet Dog Food
Wet dog foods are usually available as canned foods. Some products of this category are cooked at high temperatures to sterilize the ingredients. Canned foods are cooked during the canning process, so a dog owner can immediately prepare the foods after purchasing.
Canned dog foods usually contain the highest nutrient values among other types. Once the can is opened, the foods must be consumed immediately. High level of moisture may cause the food to decay within days only. The price of wet dog

Dry Dog Food
Among all types of dog food, dry dog food has the lowest level of moisture (approximately 10%). The manufacturing process usually involves baking. The food is the most convenience simply because it stays digestible even after long period.
In general, this type of dog food is less expensive compared to the canned/wet variety. It is also satisfies dog’s natural instinct to chew and commonly packed in a bag of different sizes and protein values.
Some people consider dry dog foods have the abilities to help to clean dogs’ teeth, but it is still arguable. Dry food possibly helps to exercise the dog’s jaw muscles, but it is not likely to greatly contribute to the cleanliness of dog’s teeth.

Dry and canned varieties are the most popular types of dog foods, although semi-moist varieties are also available. They are manufactured by many different reputable companies across the world, so you should be able to easily find any specific variety for your dog.
