Introduction

Have you ever considered trying out something new? Like eating dog food? Sounds weird, doesn’t it? People say that dog food is a disgusting thing to consume. Whenever you have some disgusting meal, it is always likened to dog food. Anyway, dog treats are very nutritious foods that can supply the required nutrients needed in the body. The same nutrients that bring dogs to their desirable weight and shape can also bring someone to a desirable body shape and weight too. Anyway, there is no place where humans have been cautioned not to consume dog foods, so, it is worth trying out.

Let me take you through the benefits of consuming dog food that will make you reconsider your opinion on dog treats;

Adult dogs with good health require about 18-25 percent protein in their diet, which can come from a variety of sources. In human beings, proteins are required by the body to build up tissues all over, from the muscles all the way to the hair and nails. The protein in dog food can facilitate the process of human body building.

Carbohydrates

Dog foods are made up of between 30 to 70 percent carbohydrates. Them being omnivores, means that they can use carbohydrates as a source of energy. The ability to utilize both proteins and sugars as a source of energy allows dogs to function well. Common and readily available cereal grains such as corn, wheat, rice, oats, and barley provides vital kibbles texture and structure. Once they have been processed, the ingredients are easily digested by the dogs.

Ingredients like the beet pulp contain carbohydrates or sugars which are less digestible also known as fiber which helps to keep an animal in regular shape. Fiber also helps keep the dog feeling stronger for longer, decreasing the amount of food needed thus preventing obesity. Whatever your dog feeds on should be safe and enjoyable to eat. Whatever kills you can also kill your dog. Therefore, if you cannot take dog treat because you are afraid that it might kill you, then you should not give the dog itself such kind of food. Whatever you enjoy, you should be able to give to your dog and sell it to other dog owners to feed their dogs too. If whatever you give your dogs is nutrition-less, you should not give it food at all. You should be able to feed on dog food and vice versa.

Conclusion

Dog food has many of the same ingredients as human food, i.e. chicken, beef, and vegetables. It may also contain some of the crucial animal by-products such as ground animal bones or organs including the intestines. These components may not auger well with the human digestive tract. Therefore, it is advisable to choose foods which feature less of ground up bones or intestines while shopping. With that said, dog food is consumable by man and can provide necessary nutrients required by the body. It can be an alternative to human food whenever the latter is
