To say that a dog gives unconditional love couldn’t be more true and that love lasts a lifetime. Even in the unfortunate situation of abuse and neglect, a dog still seems to live only to please their person.
The pain of losing a beloved dog is indescribable. Your pet has probably been by your side and made almost every step you make for many years. When they are no longer there, it is devastating. Someone who has experienced this, understands the depth of that heartache.

The costs for cremation vary depending on the type of cremation, weight of your dog, and any added extras. Below are average prices, which will give you a basic idea of your individual costs:
• Cremation – This can be anywhere from $50 - $350, depending on the facility you use, the weight of your dog, and the type of cremation you choose. The lowest being the communal type with no return of the ashes and the highest a witness cremation, which frequently includes a few extras such as a complimentary basic container.
• Pick-up – In most areas, you are allowed to bring your dog in to the facility. Pick-up is frequently included during regular business hours during the week. However, outside of their business hours or on a weekend, the charge runs around $30 - $45.
In addition, pick-up within a certain distance, usually 25 miles, is included. However, outside that distance is also around $30 - $45.
• Viewing – If you wish to view the cremation, there is typically a charge of approximately $20 - $30 extra.
• Urn – If you desire that the ashes are placed in an urn or other container, they run from $50 - $1,000, and even more. Some places include a basic urn or

Whichever method you use, it’s advisable to check out the policies and credentials of the facility, even if it is recommended by your vet.
