There are not any new breeds of dogs (golden retrievers and poodles can still breed, for example) but now there are purebreds and then several variations of mixed breeds. There were several pictures of purebreds of all different types that back in 1915 were healthy and beautiful and they put them side by side with today’s dog that had legitimate health concerns because of the breeding.
