Some dogs, like the Great Dane or Tibetan Mastiff, for example, are dangerous because of their size. Others, such as the German Shepherd and the Pit Bull, can be trained by their humans to perform acts of protection or aggression that can injure the subject of their attentions. However, certain breeds of dogs have earned their terrible reputations, often labeled as vicious or aggressive because of they react violently and interact with other dogs and humans that way. Therefore, you are more than 60 TIMES MORE LIKELY to be killed by a PALM TREE than a pit bull, boxer, or rottweiler. For every pit bull who kills, there are hundreds of thousands that DON'T. A lot of shelters and even mail-men assume a dog is aggressive because it barks or growls when they come towards it, on their territory, Which is a false statement. If anyone gets too close to another person that person would also feel threatened and do whatever they felt they had to do to protect themselves and their territory.
