In the article Does welfare make people lazy by John Aziz it says it’s an easy way of life for some people. Meaning they get everything handed to them. They are just living a comfortable life. It states in the article that “cutting welfare would help create more jobs for Americans” (Aziz). The whole reason welfare was created was to help lower the amount of poverty. The poverty level hasn’t went down much since welfare was created. I think welfare is bad because people abuse it. Welfare is given to people who don’t make enough money or any money for that matter. And the people that have it don’t try to make money themselves. The amount of people on welfare in the U.S.A is 35.4% of Americans on welfare. That amount is ridiculous. There is no reason why that many americans are on welfare. There are a lot of job openings that those people should be applying for. On top of that welfare just keeps adding on the the national debt that the country has accumulated.

If people are on welfare they should be required to have monthly drug tests and looking for a job or have a job. Americans that have jobs and work hard for their money should not have to give it to someone who doesn’t have a job and can sit at home and be lazy. People on welfare should not just have everything handed to them. Work for your money and be proud that you earned it not that it was handed to you.

Families that do work can’t always afford everything that they need, but at least they are trying as hard as they can to make money. People can have too many kids and not be able to afford everything they need so they go on welfare. Well here is a solution stop having kids. You are just making your problem worst!
