When we exercise we produce more carbon dioxide which is quite acidic, the more carbon dioxide in the breath the more will be going into the water causing it to change colour faster.
Carbon dioxide is a byproduct created during the production of energy. how energy is made is by using oxygen, inhaled from the air by breathing, and glucose which is a basic sugar from eating food, all through the bloodstream. By breaking the chemical bonds and rearranging them we can create different chemicals, in this case; water, Carbon dioxide and Energy, Although energy isn’t a chemical it is the whole reason this process happens so it get included. Both energy and water are needed by the body so they are used, But carbon dioxide isn’t good for the body, and in large amounts poisonous. Because it is so bad for the body it is quickly gotten rid of in the form of exhaling. …show more content…
More oxygen coming in, and more carbon dioxide coming out.
This is why when we exercise for longer periods of time the amount of carbon dioxide in our breath increases, our body needs to get rid of more in each
