Does Oedipus Deserve His Fate

Since birth fate chose Oedipus to kill his father, and marry his mother, after his parents found out about his prophecy they tied his feet together and left him in the mountains to die, but unfortunately for his parents a Shepherd found him and gave him away to his adopted parent in Corenth. After learning about his prophecy Oedipus left Corinth to go to thebes for the sake of his adopted parents. On the way to thebes Oedipus's bad temper caused him to kill multiple men on the way to Thebes, which ultimately ended in him killing his own father. Without knowing about anything Oedipus solved the Sphinx's riddle became king of Thebes and married his mother Jocasta for all he knows he left his parents in corrent. Oedipus was so determined to find the murder of king laius he sent for the blind prophet teiresias, teiresias knows that Oedipus is the murder but didn't want to tell him after telling Oedipus that he's the murder of king laius and that his wife is his mother his pride blinded him from seeing and listening to the truth but instead accused teiresias for trying to take his throne he mocked teiresias for being blind but little did he that later he will also be blind.Oedipus is not entirely a bad person but his flaws such as bad temper that caused him to kill his father, his pride that blinded him from seeing the bigger picture, and his selfishness for not listening to nobody but to himself, gets in his way of seeing the big picture of things. Oedipus couldn't believe that Creon was trying to take his tat least that's what he believed his told him that Creon wouldn't never do that but because of his selfishness he wouldn't to no one but to himself even though when Creon gave the reason why he wasn't trying to take his throne he still wouldn't listen but think that teiresias didn't say anything he was the murder until he showed
