In the movie, “Project Nim”, we follow the life of how Nim is raised like a human baby and transitions to be raised from one set of human parents and goes from household to household. Does Nim have a narrative sense of self? A narrative sense of self can be defined as the theory of narrative identify postulates that individuals form an identity by integrating their life experiences into an internalized, evolving story of the self, which provides the individual with a sense of unity and purpose in life. I believed that Nim did have a narrative sense of self due to his ability to do things that humans are able to do and he did that by learning how to interact with humans by sign language.
