In the beginning of the play, Othello seems to have trust in Desdemona. He fake to believe that Desdemona truly loves him and support him. Then Iago starts to brainwashing Othello mind. Iago accuses Desdemona of having an affair with Cassio. In the end of the play, Othello kills his own wife that he so badly love with because Iago claims that she is cheating on him with Cassio. The handkerchief in Cassio’s hand is not enough to show that Desdemona is sleeping with Cassio. Othello didn’t confirm anything about Cassio. Like what I said before Othello trust Iago more than everyone else around him. Othello shows no mercy at all to Desdemona when he is committing the crime. Desdemona said “ And you have mercy too, I never did offend you in my life, never loved Cassio but with such general warranty of heaven as I might love. I never gave him token (5.2.73-76)” Desdemona is begging Othello that he doesn’t kill her. She confesses that she didn’t give Cassio her love token that Othello had given her.
