All over the world each day people go hungry because they are not able to provide food for themselves or their family. It is said that every ten seconds someone dies from hunger. Because of the lack of food and hunger many people around the world are becoming weak and sick. This makes it harder for them to work and make money which causes them to fall deeper and deeper into poverty. For some places their are programs called “food for work” which lets adults work jobs that often consist of manual labor for food. Another disease that often affects people in poverty is diarrhea.
